We were commissioned to design custom typefaces with distinctive, yet timeless features for a bold new fashion magazine. The publication was going to be simply and elegantly designed with a contemporary tone. Bespoke typefaces were going to play the central role in the graphic identity of the publication. While keeping the essence of recognizable fashion typefaces of the past, we wanted to add as much flavor to them as possible.
